Sangha

This sangha, or community, practices at the intersection of ancient tradition and bold innovation.

We are deeply rooted in long-standing Zen Buddhist practices and rituals while valuing and integrating insights from western psychology, group process, neuroscience and more. We believe in Zen practice that is fully engaged with the world, and as a Sangha are committed to both waking up to who we really are, alongside growing our personal insights and interpersonal skills.

Dragon Moon Zen is a community based in Vancouver and connected with a global community of practitioners. We practice in collaboration with Dragon Lake Zen based in Boulder, Colorado. We offer separate in-person practice opportunities and collaborate around many online offerings where we are building a global community of practitioners engaging wholeheartedly in life and in practice.

Join Lisa Genki Gibson Sensei and fellow practitioners to experience the potency of Zen, and the simple practice of Zazen, or seated meditation.

There is no other time than right here and now to wholeheartedly meet our lives - in all their suffering, beauty, sorrow and tenderness.

For seasoned practitioners and beginners alike, this workshop will restore our connection to ourselves, each other and the earth by simply sitting, breathing, moving and being together.
